Hi there,
Well, this will be my 3rd and final Blog. With less than 2 weeks to go, I can’t believe the end is in sight!
It’s hard to sum up the year as there have been so many amazing experiences, so I’ll try to pick out my top 5 highlights…
1. Leading the internal launches
I really enjoyed working with the agencies on my creative concepts and seeing the ideas come to life. I was completely left to own and drive the campaign, so I learnt loads! The internal launch event has to be the absolute highlight; to receive such positive feedback from my Manager’s and external partners was a massive confidence boost.
2. Winning an award for ‘Most Innovative Intern of the year’.
I was nominated for one of 8 intern awards for my work on the launches. 122
nominations were put forward so I was extremely pleased when I was successful in winning! As you can see…very happy >>>>
3. LEGOLAND Marketing & Operations offsite (and all offsites!)
I talked about this in my first blog so I won’t go in to detail. AMAZING! I’ve been lucky to have such a nice team, they’ve been really fun to work with and the same can be said for the rest of the employees in the M&O division and company as whole.
4. Microfest
At the end of the financial year Microsoft puts on an event for all of the employees.Last year they put on a festival themed event with Flawless and Greg Davies performing, fairground rides, a candy store, a massive selection of food and cocktails and all for free! I couldn’t believe it…
This year thanks to it being the 30th anniversary of Microsoft UK, the event is going to be even bigger!!! Hosted by Russell Kane, we’ll see the Noisettes, Loveable Rogues, Fun Loving Criminals, Alex Clare and more! Microsoft might just be the best company EVER.
5. Marketing & Operations Intern day at Wunderman
10 of us were given the opportunity to spend the day at Wunderman, an agency in London. It was a great experience and gave me a real insight into working for an agency. From the day I’ve made a contact from the agency who is looking to help me to gain more experience at Wunderman.
All in all, it’s been great being an Intern at Microsoft and I would highly recommend it!
