Enjoy some international insights from Greece, with our wonderful IT Consultant Manos!

Name: Manos Chatziioannou

Role: IT Consultant

My Role at Microsoft

In Microsoft I work as an IT consultant. I work closely with our customers and provide either proof of concept about a type of solutions they might need or my services as a software engineer!

About Me!

While still studying in University of Piraeus, I always want to be active and occupied. So in my second year in college I started my own projects, became a member of the Microsoft Students Partner group and founded my own startup with 3 other colleagues from college. It was a game development team and we created many games, participated in Microsoft’s Imagine cup in 2014, won the national finals and fought our way to the 10 best teams in the world! After that I started working as a mobile cross platform app developer in 3 companies and lectured in a six months course in SAE institute about the Xamarin platform. My internship in Microsoft started last October and will continue for another four months! Other than that I’m a pianist and singer, I practice capoeira and I am a hardcore gamer!

My Number One Application Tip

Always be yourself! Don’t change for an interview cause if you take a job while pretending to be someone else then this might not be what you want after all…

Favourite Quote

“You might as well be dead. Seriously, if you always put limits on what you can do, physically or anything else, it’ll spread over into the rest of your life. It’ll spread into your work, into your morality, into your entire being. There are no limits. There are plateaus, but you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. If it kills you, it kills you. A man must constantly exceed his level – Bruce Lee
